More properties sold in August 2024 than the previous 3 Augusts says Barfoot.
Average house price $1,107,837 nearly 2% higher than August 2023. (however slightly lower than July 2024)
Nearly 23% of properties sold - under $750K, properties over $2M - just 5.2% of sales. Barfoot sold 889 properties across Auckland in August.
Rural and lifestyle sales totaled $56m
All are going in the upward direction - so is FOMO back - the fear of missing out on a property before prices go sky high? New listings have dropped back 5.2% on July 2024 but still nearly 25% higher than August 2023.
