Hi All,
Are we surprised with the budget?
For me, it's created a lot more questions than answers. Where's the incentive to create jobs? And why get a job when soon you could be better of by $55 a week ($2860 a year).
David Seymour for Prime Minister!
In his words.....
There's no detail on the plan for increasing housing supply. Mention of a massive infrastructure project - and a Maori housing project but where's the commitment to build homes to meet the demand for all Kiwis? Homes for first home buyers, homes for renters, social housing. Hard to fathom this was not front and centre given recent demand focused policies.
How's the economy really going to stack up to expectations when pay freezes will send our best and brightest offshore as soon as they can and the Gov't is not investing big in construction like the UK, USA etc.
Keen to get your thoughts....
cheers,
Donna

"I'm calling this the La La budget because the Gov't is in La La Land - ignoring reality."
