New Website - Where are the signatures?

I personally liked the old layout, but figure things are due for an update every 10 years or so (have just done my own website, too!)

But where have all the signatures gone? Without my signature, people won't know I'm an accountant, and won't know to give that extra little weighting on my tax-related writings. No better than Facebook in that respect!

A significant portion of my early clients found me through PropertyTalk; presumably based on links in my signature as they had no other way of knowing what firm I work for. While the forum has quietened a lot over the last few years it would be a shame if people can't find me anymore.

And the ability to quote more than one post seems to have gone away, too.

I abhor so-called 'updates' for the sake of updates.

Especially when some new-age faceless someone has decided that that common folks don't need whatever any more. (Or must now have xx for the future.)

I know it's hard to get on with new software but we will conquer it.

Perry, I am surprised you didn't find the signatures! I have found the signatures area.......

Go to the top menu - where it has your username

In the drop-down box - click on user settings

      Then click on ACCOUNT

and in there scroll down and you will see 'signature' where you can use your existing or edit it.

      I have uploaded 3 images.

      cheers,

      Donna

I also need to let you know -

it's not a case of 'if it ain't broke don't fix it'
We had to upgrade as the old forum software no longer worked on the latest version of PHP (server software) so upgrading while costly (I'm happy to have invested in it), and it's a necessity.

Thanks for your feedback - and your continued support - we will make it work for us.

        cheers,

        Donna

There are some nuances too, like when you go into 'account' - you will probably need to remove any auto fill in your 'signature area before you hit 'save'. So make your changes to your signature (also you can choose to either show 'posts' or 'latest activity' - choose posts it's more like what we're used to.

I will keep adding info as locate new features etc.

You will find the uploading of images in posts is easier.

          cheers,

          Donna

It was only a geriatric grumble.

Why the people that do these things can't arrange an update that does not break so many things is beyond belief.

Be that signature coding transfer or multi-post quoting or whatever.

There you've made another thing obvious.
Where the hell are the albums of forumites' stored pix?
And / or gaining access thereto?
