The closest trope I can think to use here is the hippie who actually does it and takes it through to it's logical conclusion.
One of the communes, opps I mean "intentional communities", I have stayed at practiced what is basically communism. Truth be told it wasn't my cup of tea but I enjoyed my time there. It worked for them and although they distributed the income equally, they had something to distribute.
Whatever lifestyle one chooses for this lifetime needs certain ingredients to function.
Unfortunately I don't see anything compelling on the NZ Inc "income" side of this government ledger. I see a lot of expenses and a lot of tax. This has a history of ending badly.
