    Wellington - woodridge

    Hi All

just wondering if anyone knows much about this subdivision? It is attractive to us being only a short commute to Wgtn CBD.

    Cheers

To invest or reside in ?

Zoned for Newlands college. There are also plenty of primary schools and kindergartens in the area . Its a good family area - mainly developed in 80's with family sized 3-4 bedroom houses built by Wrightway homes (a family owned building business operating since 1964) .

Well serviced by Newlands Bus co with regular buses into Wellington CBD and Johnsonville

I grew up down the road and delivered newspapers along Woodridge drive when there were just a few houses there

It's very windy but has all day sun: and I love the view of the wind turbines. Not so keen on the funny looking houses in the newer parts though. Handy to Newlands College (my old School), and plenty of primary schools and intermediate. Good medical centre and supermarket.

It used to be a short commute to town, but you have to get across Newlands first, so not what sure what it's like at peak hour. Anyway, would be a nice family area but not sure about rentals, although I see a few townhouses popping up.

Have you looked at Grenada Village? Easier access to the motorway and the soon to be built Petone link road. Better views and sunnier than Churton Park though not as well established.
