Hi,
I'm currently in the middle of buying a property from a private sale. The sellers lawyer has told them that we need to get a S&P made up by our lawyer. Question is how much does a lawyer charge to do this? I can buy the S&P online for $25.00 but will have to write all details in pen, would that be ok with the bank, also any clauses that I want to put as well will be hand written. Obviously, we are going to get the agreement looked at by the lawyer but don't want to give away money just for filling our details on the computer.
Also the seller wants to stay on after the settlement date for up to a week, rent free as they are leaving for Oz that same week, we know the seller personally so we agreed on that but how do I put a clause in there that they pay for power/water for the week at a agreed amount and that they will leave the property as it was on settlement date. Can this be done?
How should I go about this?
Thanks in advance.
