Section to sell for Development Query
Hi there I am think of selling my section that I live on. It is approx 1/2 an acre, and flat enough in an Auckland suburb on the North Shore. I am reluctant to sell at this stage but I suppose everything has a price, but before committing to selling I would like to get some feelers on price. I am just wondering about how to go about it. I would like to get an idea of how much it is worth or if developers would possibly be interested in it for a bigger development. I not sure how to go about this other than maybe ring an agent or possible known developers. Anyone have anyone mind that I could contact? The motivation to sell would be (assuming you get a good price) to buy a smaller section with similar/smaller house. I understand there will be trade offs here. Also I don't want to sell and then have the prospect of looking for a house, especially how crazy the housing market is at the minute. Ideally I would like to get someone who is interested, and then maybe negotiate a deal of price and transfer of ownership date. Ideally this situation would allow us the time to go out and find a house that we like and not one that we just settle for. Or am I being too ideal here? Would appreciate any advice anyone has. Or anyone who was in a similar situation might have some first hand experience.
