Not too hard at all, at least according to this expert I spotted on the internet ...

Gidday, thanks for dropping in. My name’s Dean and I’m talking to you from New Zealand.

I’ve just had the most amazing day today with the geekversity guys Sean and Ian learning about online marketing and affiliate sales and ... just all kinds of stuff to do with the internet.

I’ve been a professional sales and marketer for a long time and I never realised the power and just the volume of business that’s being generated online. It’s like a whole new world.

I never really understood that I could replace a 40 or 60 hour a week job and earn a lot more money than I could in that from the comfort of my own laptop or my own home and effectively 'buy my life back'.

You can do that too, and it’s incredible just with a little bit of education and some action the results that you can get.

So I set this site up really just to share that with you quickly and to say “Hey, there are other opportunities out there. There are other ways to succeed.”

Affiliate marketing in particular is just ... cool. You don’t need your own products. You just need a little bit of information and a little bit of sweat but the results can be outstanding. So if you want to know some more, there’s a link under the video -- just click on that. But if not, thank you for your time, and don’t miss out on the opportunities that available for you online. • Actually Pete it's the Geekversity guys who are the experts. And based on the fact that their free information is valuable enough for full time internet specialists to be impressed I can't think of anybody better to learn from if it's your thing.

Unless you're too busy with your scarcity mentality bagging everything in sight that is.

          • Yep. I have to admit thats kind of creepy Peter.

Dean has given a lot of value and help to the PT community and so have you. Maybe we should stop with the personal attacks.

            Cheers

            • Marc: What's "kind of creepy"? What do you mean? Do you mean the YouTube picture?
It wasn't me that put that on the internet! (At least he's not in his pyjamas or <shudder> the spa!)

Or are you talking about the script of the sales pitch? If so... yes, I see what you mean. Creepy, all right.

You know what? Someone should write a blog about this kind of 'creepy' marketing...how's this for a snappy title?...

... But apparently its a case of taking our knowledge of affiliate marketing andsharing it with other people for cash so we dont have to put in all the work as affiliate marketers ...

He had thought this through right down to inquiring about leasing european sports cars to drive around in and actually stated this as part of his idea to me as it would make us look more credible and be fun to have expensive sports cars that were tax deductible becasue they were leased through a company.
This is very nice writing Andrew. Thanks for sharing! (This backs up Terry, too.)
As CT said, it'd be funny if there weren't people out there trying to put this kind of thing together...

Any news of #4??? (PM me if you'd rather. in your own good time.) - P

OK. So you're in 'the zone'. Good luck with all that.
Keep the bag packed by the front door and make sure there's petrol in the car. Maybe throw some chocolate in the glove box, and some packet soups. (I know you're an old hand, but even old hands get caught by surprise. ) cheers, P

...which says something about what I see as the underlying theme of this thread: the authenticity (or lack of it)
of marketing claims -- e.g. of 'expertise', 'quick-and-easy wealth' , impartiality, 'endorsement' by others, etc...
