Turn off if you dislike what you think are pedantic people.

For everybody who is guilty, and there are many of you, 'alot' is spelt with two l's.

          And bought vs. brought...

And one I simply don't get: How did 'have' become 'of'?? As in "I would of done that"

Not in the usual context it isn't, I think you'll find that it's meant to be 'a lot'. (i.e. two seperate words).

I was assuming our xris (of the perfect spelling) knew this and meant it in the 'allotted time' sense of the word. You may be right though - I await xris' (xris's?) comments.....

                        Naturally ream is correct.

Now, if you will excuse me I am trying to work out how to deal with Sue Laurey.

That would be Laurie - since we're on this thread

Ream - still flattered that xris has agreed I was correct about something, and 'naturally' so too.

                            A Question for the Pedants

Which of these sentences is grammatically correct?:

                            (1) The bulk of listed properties are not selling within 30 days.

                            (2) The bulk of listed properties is not selling within 30 days.
