4. Start missile strikes on military locations in Taiwan

Xi Jinping isn't Putin, he's more pragmatic than Putin, Putin has mental issues.

I'm not saying China won't invade Taiwan, I just can't see China invading this decade, they can't afford it yet, war is very expensive and there economy is still recovering from lockdowns and covaids.

Xi Jinping understands an invasion in Taiwan means conflict with its neighbours in South Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Australia, this is before the US and Europe has joined in, and war can be fought in many ways, not necessarily through missiles and boots on ground.

So although the Chinese military seems massive, it's still not big enough to have a war with the west, because it's allie's are broke ass North Korea and last centuries super power Russia .

If China is to invade Taiwan it would most likely happen in a 10 to 15 years when there economy has over taken the US.

Which is why that idiot Pelosi is strutting her stuff, because she knows nothing will happen...she needs to go home and sort out the US , there economies still a mess with inflation.

Resources, agriculture, food, you need energy to feed and fuel a new world order, as well as human capital, you can't have enough tax slaves as the saying goes.


An invasion of Australia is an inevitable invasion of New Zealand.

New Zealand has no air support to defend its air space outside minimal man controled anti aircraft artillery, this would be used up in the first few hours of an air invasion.

An invasion would not target military sights in NZ , the invaders would likely target Auckland airport, ports of Auckland, State highway 1 south and north of Auckland, Ngaio Gorge and Wellington ports and Wellington airport.

Political and Military leaders would most likely retreat and set up HQ in Christchurch, if military aid has not arrived from the west coast of America by then, out side your standard gorilla warfare which we will resort to, New Zealand would be over run in a few short weeks if not days.

The invasion possibilities you describe seem less likely than simply blowing up strategic national grid power pylons. That would bring the entire country to a standstill, except perhaps where local lines coys are also generators. In those cases, the generating facility would be targeted in the same way as the selected national grid pylons.

The would leave food and fibre production and processing facilities intact.

Anyway, an invasion of Taiwan would not affect us in a military physical sense because both left and right political parties have tried to tip toe around this thorny issue because China is our biggest trading partner,

But..

An invasion of Taiwan could lead to sanctions from the west, and in retaliation China could restrict movement of massive American and European companies based in mainland China like Apple, Tesla etc, this would likely crash international markets taking most economies down including New Zealands.

The amount of money printing we witnessed in 2020 would pale in comparison should China invade Taiwan.

This scenario is unlikely to happen this decade ,more likely 2030 onwards.

My large New Zealand real estate portfolio is dependent on China keeping cool heads and being pragmatic, New Zealand real estate would be crushed if we lost a trade deal with China, this would push unemployment over 10/15% and my growing investment in US companies depends on there administration keeping up communications in a proactive manner, not posturing for political votes back home.
