  • Amendment to trust deed

When you amend trust deeds you are obligated to seek permission from the bank.
Are you required to get permission from the IRD too ?
When we applied for a ird number we did attach the trust deed.

I don't know the answer, but I amended a Trust Deed some years back, without asking anyone's permission. (The Trust didn't owe the bank anything.)

The ird never wrote to you or your accountant did not comment of the change ?

No. Nothing like that happened, unless it did and I was never told.

The amendment was minor, (change to beneficiary ranking) so that may have had a bearing.
