  • "Departmental Dealing" ON TITLE....What is this?

    Hi
I just got this from my broker.

"Page 5 of this E-Valuation includes a breakdown of the title to the property. ANZ are querying the registration in 21 August 2014 of an interest to "Departmental Dealing". I have never seen this type of encumbrance (registration of an interest on a property title) before. Do you know what this is?"

    Has anyone seen this
"Departmental Dealing" noted under Interest on a Cert of detail before?
    Thanks
    Richard

doesnt it just mean that some technical correction has been made to the title by LINZ (the department)?? for mistake typo or spelling??

I think JTB is onto it
The correction process Minor corrections (for spelling
mistakes and typographical errors) are made under section 80 Land
Transfer Act 1952. The details of the correction are recorded as a
separate entry (‘departmental dealing’) on the Register.
      from
Information about corrections to the register, including the powers of the Registrar-General of Land (RGL) to alter the land register.

        Hi
Yes I just got off their web site and was going to post the same line.

        Thanks for looking.
You would think that ANZ would know this.
They are making it real hard to stay with them
        Thanks
        Richard
