Hi Guys
Oh wow.
Westpac have hoisted all, except 2 yr fixed, their fixed interest rates as of tonight ready for Monday.(8.1%)
Now the same as ASB and the NAB. Basically 8.1% fixed and the floating rate of 9.05% is the highest of the main banks.

Hi Guys
Another possible interest rate war may be starting.
ANZ have dropped their 3, 4, 5 yr fixed rates by 0.3%.
and I think the Reserve Bank are rather grumpy about it.

9.00% Variable
This is just the basic rate. They do decrease depending on how much you have borrowed.

My 10 cents - floating interest rate will hit 10% by mid-late 2006
crude oil will spike upwards increase fuel to all time highs
rates, building constents,taxes- all increasing -
-locally Property,s looking very overpriced-
eg.investors sitting on $300-$500grand bare sections
must be hard on the wallet pay 50,000 in interest + rates hoping for
capitial gains to make the money.

Hi Guys
The mortgage wars continue:
BNZ launches another round of mortgage rate discounting
28 May 2005
BNZ yesterday lit the fuse for another round of mortgage rate skirmishing between the major banks, cutting its two year and three year fixed term rates.
The bank said it was launching its Unbeatable campaign for a third time by cutting its two year fixed-rate on Classic Home Loan from 7.60 per cent to 7.55 per cent. Classic Home Loan three year fixed-rate is now 7.55 per cent – 0.25 per cent lower than its standard three year rate.
The bank said the rates were available from Monday only on its Classic Home Loan products.
Under its Unbeatable campaign, the bank says it will beat any currently advertised two or three year fixed rate offering from its major competitors Westpac, ANZ, National Bank, and ASB not including Bank Direct.
BNZ first launched its Unbeatable campaign in the fourth quarter of last year, sparking an intense mortgage price war amongst the major banks. After taking a breather in January, the campaign was relaunched in February and officially ended earlier this month.
BNZ's market share of home loans grew from 15.7 per cent to 16.2 per cent in 2004
And Kiwibank has dropped its 5yr fixed to 7.5%.
