I have a commercial property with a service lane running through it and along the boundary of the neighbouring property.
The neighbours wish to erect a 2.1 metre vertical bar security fence with spikes and barbed wire for anti climb around their car park. As it is on the boundary they are seeking 50% of the cost.
Being on the service lane a security fence would not provide me or my tenants any additional benefit.
The Fencing Act says I must pay 50% of an "adequate fence"
What is considered adequate in this case?
Cheers
Jeff
