Right or wrong you've got to admire this wall. It's clearly well engineered and built. Yet the council missed out on clipping the ticket with it's consent fees so down it must come. And get this - AKL council say it will need a building consent to take it down!

Hi,

I have to install intermeshed smoke detectors to meet the requirements of a building consent. I would prefer not to have to replace them every 10 years (for economic and environmental reasons) so am considering installing a house alarm system hard wiring smoke detectors into it.

Hi,

I have to install intermeshed smoke detectors to meet the requirements of a building consent. I would prefer not to have to replace them every 10 years (for economic and environmental reasons) so am considering installing a house alarm system hard wiring smoke detectors into it.

My questions are:

1. Is this compliant with Auckland Council requirements?

2. Has anyone done this? Are there any issues or opportunities you experienced?

3. Does anyone have a product recommendation that would serve my purpose?

4. Any other relevant comments

Thanks in advance

Ian

Hello
Does anyone have experience with Hydrocork? I am looking at installing click flooring in my kitchen/dining area and hydrocork on paper looks great. Subfloor is chipboard and size is just under 40m2.
Thanks
