Until 18 months ago we lived in Scotland - now live in NZ. Made the mistake of selling our one Edinburgh rental. Now want to get back into Scottish property market.
Have started with an investment in Airdrie. Thru a property finder who is organising everything. Even at 85% borrowing it is cash flow, so clearly at the lower end of the property market. But not crap.
Interested to hear from anyone with experience of buy to lets, where to focus, good contacts, etc.
Why Scotland? Because we know it. I am a kiwi but lived there 15 years. My wife is scottish. So we have some idea of what we are getting into when looking at areas. And we have family who can help if need be.
