Retrofit home scheme onselling house
Hi, I wonder if you can help. I have just had a tender for my house, 2 tenders have come in at the identical level
lets say for ease $725,000 one however has said they will take over the retrofit, the other says the offer is $725 but they will not be paying the retrofit.
I have recently upgraded heating and insulation on the property and used the allocatioon of $5000 available.
would you then agree that the $725,000 offer is equivalent to $730,000 and the other offer is $725,000 less the $5000 so $720,000 as I would have to pay the retrofit off at settlement.
therefore there is actually a $10,000 difference between the offers as one is $730,000 and the other is $720,000 in reality?
thanks kindly - has any one sold a house with this, i wanted to pass it to the buyers as it is brand new heatpump and insulation that they will benefit from.
any thoughts knowledge of how it works at sale time is helpful.
