A tenant has accidently broken a window (a stone flicked up when he was mowing) and the window needs to be replaced. The agent says that as this is an accident it should be claimed on the landlord's insurance. I haven't seen a quote yet for a replacement window. The pm also asked for authority to talk to the insurance company on my behalf. I have a $1k excess on my policy and no claims bonus (allegedly). I'm guessing I have to just wear this as a landlord but wanted to check, is it a good idea/ok to let the pm act on my behalf in terms of the insurance policy?
Thanks guys.
