An Invercargill company will give its property managers self-defence lessons and perhaps arm them with pepper spray after allegations that one of its employees was attacked during a routine house inspection.
Pride Property general manager Jackie Alexander said the incident on Thursday was a ``big wake-up call" for property managers in Invercargill.
Alexander said Pride Property had 500 properties on its books and had been in business for a decade, but the alleged assault on one of its staff members was a first.
Nothing like this has ever happened before," she said.
