  • Green Stained Glass Panels - painting over ?

    Have a new renovation project.

Which has quite a bit of green stained glass panels all round the house.

Getting a quote to replace with normal glass, to get rid of this 70's green.

But is it possible to re-stain, or paint over these rectangular panes of glass that are framed individually with aluminimum joinery.

There is paint that is made to stick to glossy surfaces-ie. glass-tiles-etc so it is doable--could be a little dangerous if people didnt realize that that solid looking surface was glass--(you can also paint the Aliminium with special paint if you desire.)
Keep in mind that things always last longer in interior situations.

The paint that supposedly sticks to tiles/glass works, but is highly prone to dings that flake the paint.

Are these exterior panes? Painting over them will make it look like a casino. You could always paint some fake curtains, or stick up a mural of some amazing scene. Herds of wildebeest on their regular migration across the distant African savanna - that sort of thing. Would look mighty classier than plain painted windows.

What an amazing coincidence. I have that print above my bed. I love the realism in the left wolf's eyes.

So you can look at it while 'seeing to' the Mrs? Or Mr?
