Good grief the brain must still be hung over....can't recall the correct way to increase rent in below situation and can't seem to find this in the RTA
Had a phone call today....a couple I rent to are going their separate ways and one wants to stay on as sole tenant. This of course will involve a new tenancy agreement.
Trouble is I was going to increase the rent in the next month or so.....with appropriate notice of course
But if I sign this person up on a new tenancy then I'm stuck for 6 months
So my question is....can I simple sign up the new tenant with a new increased rent to take effect immediately or do I have to give notice?
