Agreed, shower domes are pretty good. However, if determined to do a fan, ring around, providing you know the type of wall you want to put it through, any electrician in the area should be able to give you a pretty clear estimate over the phone ?
I don't like the dome idea coz the additional water vapour is not good on the lungs. Better to have proper ventilation. Check your local rag coz you don't want someone recommending someone in east Auckland when your property is in west Auckland and the van charges are extra.
I agree that the lungs/water vapour (not steam!)
science is dodgy, but hotter air holds more invisible
water vapour, so the amount would be the same
either way, would it not? Invisibly with a shower-
dome and visibly without it. More or less.
You are likely to have soap/shampoo/disinfectant from the shower walls airborne in your sealed shower cubicle with a dome causing the air to be recycled for 15mins for you to breath. Whereas in an open shower the heat rises and fresh air comes up from under the glass panels and door.
There is no scientific data I have to pull on how it might affect the lungs of some people, only that I'm an asthmatic and prefer the fresher air for easier breathing.
