I don't have anything new to say on it and apparently, neither do you.
The title of the thread here is "Which political party will benefit property investors?". Whatever benefits the wider community & part of that is referendums to uphold democratic opinion, will ultimately provide a greater good for ALL, including property investors.
Conservatives were the only party campaigning for that principle.

It seemed a mystery to me why she suddenly went against Craig in the 11th hour before the election day.A bit like Rachel MacGregor ,Craigs press secretary. Why does anyone who served time "truly" believing in a partys policies & vision do a traitorous leap away from it 2 days before an election?
On racial issues & many other subjects Craig & Newman are similar , therefore the post seemed very badly timed & deliberate. Quite shameful really as i certainly see her now from a different angle.
One of those links against BCIR .A comment from Alex Penk regarding BCIR once again demonstrates the arrogance of the "I know better than you" approach:
Imagine you’re in hospital, waiting for surgery. The surgeon walks over, and you realise they’re holding a butter knife, not a scalpel. They grin sheepishly, and mumble that maybe they’re not totally qualified to operate, but they definitely have an opinion on what to do.
I think this is a pretty good analogy for the case for binding citizens initiated referenda (CIR).
With comments like that maybe we should have to start believing in chemtrails after all.Last edited by mrsaneperson; 03-10-2014, 07:15 PM.

Have you got the link to it? Oh i have relocated it.
In a nutshell to answer your question i think she is going off on a legal speak tangent much the same as Geddis.
In direct answer against her opinion expressed and copied & pasted from her article i do not agree with her stance because:
"Advocates of binding referenda would no doubt argue that a new constitution is not needed"..
Again her comment here alienates & reeks of arrogance :
One of the main concerns raised about the concept of making citizens initiated referenda binding, is that the public can be too easily swayed by propaganda, and that there is no guarantee that a thorough informed process will underpin referendum voting.Last edited by mrsaneperson; 03-10-2014, 07:26 PM.
