The English language is a wonderful thing. Frustrating for other
language people to learn, but full of subtleties & nuances which
make it a great language of poetry and prose. And for some
spectacular bloopers! The words which others invent, or even
redefine, make for great entertainment. I used to collect them,
but I have no more space. Here's a few:
non-pulsed (non-plussed) A real heart stopper, that one.
avagadro (avocado) A very fruity oil, it seems
quattro (cointreau) Something to do with audi-ology, perhaps?
...............................Or a way to add real spice to your liqueur?
Why should others have all the fun? Let's invent some words
of our own. My initial offering:
Lonk (noun) a link that no longer works because it is long out-of-date
