Which political party will benefit property investors
Auckland with an excess of supply......that would be a turnaround !
It would also be welcomed by many buyers.
Caused, you say, in large part by retirement villages building something like 225 units at a time ?
I don't think I'll hold my breath while that happens.
don't read much or well.
Ryman do 500 and Summerset are about to do the same.

Ryman do 500 and Summerset are about to do the same.
1,000 Auckland units ( about 4 villages) per year, each and every year for the next 4 or 5 years ???
If that is what you are saying I don't believe it.
To say that the Govt & Council should not be accelerating the supply of new homes in Auckland is folly.

Heard an interesting comment by Rodney Hide on the radio today re Colin Craig.
He was asked how the media would play this story. He said "She is an attractive young woman. The word being used is 'Unchristian'. They don't need to say any more than that."
I sure as hell hope for his sake he hasn't been having a relationship with her!
Very much doubt it . I have observed the most relentless attack by the general media on Craigs character since he organised the protest for the anti-smacking law up Queen St years ago. We should very much be ashamed of how the media have tried to castigate & brutalise him over the years. I haven't witnessed a worse sustained attack on any other political figure.
Here is just one of many examples from a metro magazine interview with craig & press secretary rachel a few months back :
Metro is Auckland's authority on dining, art, society, schools and property. Metro is home to the definitive Top 50 lists of Cheap Eats, Bars, Restaurants and Wine.
This contest, as well as the Hone / Kelvin one, will be most fascinating to watch tomorrow.
Conservative Party pamphlet complaint upheld
Winston Peters claims a ruling by the Advertising Standards Authority against the Conservative Party is further evidence its leader Colin Craig is "manipulative".
Today the ASA upheld part of a complaint made about a Conservative Party pamphlet which attacked New Zealand First through a quiz comparing party policy.
The ASA found that claims about alcohol law reform were misleading and breached the code of ethics. The Conservatives have already appealed the decision.
But Peters went on the attack this morning, saying that the decision, coming a day after the sudden resignation of Craig's press secretary, was further insight into the would-be MP's character.
