As far as marketing goes, I would think the cross sell and the up sell are very profitable techniques.

Got so annoyed with that that I once ordered food for four, one item at a time.

          "is there anything else sir?"

it doesn't ask in Windows 8.1 so perhaps it's been requested more than once.

Not sure - but just close the window / last tab instead of
logging out. That should have much the same effect.

                  Sssshhhhh, they'll add it back!

Plus, having the whole desktop change so that none of it works with a keyboard and mouse was probably a big enough f**k you for one MS release.

Recently I loaded some freeware to my daughters win8 computer which made it function more like win7

So now I know where to start when I try to help her...

Win8 should never have been released on non-touch screen computers

Microsoft is in damage control hence the quick crappy release.
10 years ago they laughed at the idea of a Linux system being kingpin.
They didn't foresee the change in how we use hardware.
But like all Microsoft shit it will mature in to something quite usable but im thinking 12-16 months.
I had assumed keys was talking about this websites forum system.
