Hi all
I have been reading around the internets for a couple of hours now trying to find out if I can shed all the pre-tenancy application forms I have amassed over the years.
I found principle 9 "you shall not keep that information for longer than is required for the purposes for which the information may lawfully be used." OK thats cool, I'll just shred the application forms...but... I have read that veda can ask you to produce the authorisation to check the credit file. So, I'll shred the applications forms that were not used to obtain credit files.
How about the application forms that were used to get credit files - any ideas? Maybe 7 years?
Also, if I wait 7 years and then shred the pre-tenancy application forms, I still appear to have access to the saved credit file when I log into veda. Should I try to remove this? I can't see a way to remove individual credit checks I have done in the past.
What do you guys do?
