    Default The Cats Killed Them

Monarch butterflies do not seem to be about in their usual numbers this year. Researchers are to meet in Auckland in March to figure out what has happened to them.

Give a guy too much money and he goes nuts:
    http://www.stuff.co.nz/national/poli...s-out-swinging

Economist Gareth Morgan has come out swinging against the Government in a blog entitled Why New Zealanders Should Support the Protest against Deep Sea Oil.
He posted the blog at garethsworld.com this morning as the Greenpeace sailing vessel Vega continued to block The Noble Bob Douglas from drilling off the Raglan coast.

Well done Gareth on your stance on this.

Many thanks also for your sizeable donation to the Philippines disaster.

    He's at it again:

"You taxpayers should chip in $10 million to help fund my current hobby..."
And calling for the govt to replace the current board at NZ Football - under what authority?

I think he's got too much money and not enough humble.

Well we did give $30 million to the yachting, and countless millions to the rugby world cup, why not give some money to soccer?

It is the biggest game in the world you know, but of course it has a very low profile here because we're good at the oval ball game.

I can exclusively reveal that Gareth Morgan's next project will be to take over Rowing New Zealand - due to his overwhelming desire to stick his oar in.
Morgan's generosity is beyond question, along with a lengthy list of hugely praiseworthy acts that have greatly benefited the unfortunate and those in need.
Yet that, along with his wealth, doesn't make him the ultimate arbiter. There's plenty of stupid rich people, and plenty of lucky ones too.
Just as there's plenty of Kiwis understandably reluctant to put Morgan in charge of their cat, let alone New Zealand Football's kitty.
