Mount Albert / Pt Chev

Hey,

Saw a recent listing online which claims "Tasman Avenue" is in Point Chevalier. Clearly it is in Mount Albert at present given the Gladstone school zone, motorway in between and a Mount Albert postcode. All other Tasman Ave listings recently have been listed as Mount Albert. Why do you think they would market it as Point Chevalier?

Its definitely Mount Albert. Do they think people are really that stupid?

Having just bought a house in Point Chevalier it has irked me! Mount Albert is surely a suburb which will appeal to people - we tried and failed to buy a couple of houses there.

Bizarre. Tasman Ave is a good street regardless of the suburb. Both suburbs are popular.

Before the north western motorway was put through Pt Chevalier several decades ago some may have considered Segar Ave and Tasman Ave geographically part of Pt Chevalier but today the council and NZ Post record those streets as Mt Albert and they are definitely not Pt Chevalier. Sutherland Rd is described as Mt Albert on the council website and Pt Chevalier on the NZ Post site and is usually described as being part of Pt Chevalier by agents but most people consider Pt Chevalier to be on the sea side of the motorway.
