Default Dumb-arse admits he got it wrong

    http://www.stuff.co.nz/national/heal...ppies-about-it

Anti-immunity beliefs nearly killed his child.
Despite having a bit of paper saying he's a bright guy, this dumb-arse finally woke up to the fact that he was wrong.
    Points for admitting it, though.
But there's many more nutters out there who don't immunise their children.
    Should we stop them breading?

Whooping cough....... The highly infectious bacterial infection killed two children, hospitalised hundreds and infected almost 6000 people last year.
Not nice, I got it last year and had medication which looked like I had to cut with a knife before I could swallow it. A colleague got it as well, off work for 3 months.

Yeah I saw that article and felt outraged too. Of course that's why the paper ran it.

Some time ago, I gave seeing a chiropractor a go. I must have been feeling weak in the head. Turns out they're against vaccinations, believing them to be harmful etc.

He's reported to be a scientist.
    I'd wager a climate-change scientist.

Another bunch of dumb-arses are hospital staff who refuse to have the flu vaccine.
I think I read about half of them refuse to have it.
So each winter they get the flu and infect their patients.

Remember the measles outbreak in Auckland in late 2011?
The recent measles outbreak in Auckland (489 cases) was started with an unimmunised child, who became infected on a family trip to England, then developed measles when back in Auckland.

The Flu Jab doesn't stop you getting the flu just lessen the symptons and it doesn't cover all strains. I used to get it didn't last year and only had two days where I felt sick.

You might be stepping on people's spiritual beliefs Bob.

I think a piece of amber hung around the neck is just as good as a vaccination isn't it?

I guess amber beats some garlic strung around your neck.

If I was in hospital I'd like to think the staff believed in good medical practise.
