If you have hundreds of thousands in drug money sitting around, you don't care if you pay $700k or $800k for a house.
While that is true how often does this happen?
It would have to happen a lot for it contribute in any real sence to house inflation in Auckland.
Once or twice and it is just a pricing minor anomoly.
What: proceeds of corruption in countries such as China being used to buy property around in NZ ?
Why not ask our Govt for the data they have collected on that subject..........oh, that's right, WHAT COLLECTED DATA ?

Are you not able to follow context?
From Davo You know why, it's drug money fuelled by drug precursors imported from China - where most of our 'P' precursors come from now.
So this, along with straight cash coming from China, has an inflationary effect on our house prices.
I'm not talking about proceeds from corruption in China.
I'm talking about proceeds from drug money even if the precursors come from China.

Reason: fixed typo
it is always a worry when some people seek to suppress discussion of cogent
topics of concern by branding the person as racist or the topic as xenophobic.
