Hi guys
I have a water tank on one of my properties. The tenant who has been there about 9 months keeps running out of water.
I have filled it up three times, the last one a week ago and it had been raining for ages there.
I have had a tradesmen look at it and he reckons there is nothing wrong with it. The person who fills it up with water says the same thing. Her boyfriend has had a look and he can't see anything. Apparently the tank isn't very big. I don't know anything about water tanks but it looks big to me. I mean you need a ladder to get up to the top!
The previous tenant didn't have to get any water ordered but then it was only her and her baby living there. This time - it's a mother, her toddler and new baby and sometimes the boyfriend. Could it be that in fact it is too small for so many people (the tenant has grown up with water tanks and said she's never had the problems before anywhere).
I live too far to pop down and have a look all the time, I've already spent $600 on the plumber to tell me their was nothing wrong with it (I'm sure I got ripped off there), so I don't really want to have to go through all that again.
Should I be paying for the extra water - I assume I'd have to have a steady supply of water and know what the cause of the problem was
Is there such as thing as a Certified Water Tank Inspector? Do I sound like a city gal or what!
Has anyone had trouble with a water tank?
Cheers, QB
