Hmm I had a 3 point transfer kit in my home in Dunedin with a wood burner and it worked perfectly, am looking to install one in my new place but more to drop the temp in the lounge when needed.

Pretty sure they are basing it off year built, my home is brick and tile and cos it was built 1996 was flagged on their system as well when refinanced. Basically they don't care if you buy leaky so...

I have never seen as many children pushing prams as I have in Gore.
Invercargill is quite a nice town if you get over the climate. The licensing trust has done a lot of good for the town.

Actually Prendos (building surveyors) could do this for you - get us in to do a report and you can then show it to your tenants.

Why not you would if you were buying? They could get the info off the PM (they could prefill the form) then do your own checks. Its in writing so if they lie its in black and white.

They would be better off giving tenants a check list to fill in which then gives them a grading ie 10 ticks is an A. That way tenants can make an informed choice themselves. About time self...

When you select your contractor check that they don't have any claims against them pending or resolved - loads of unsuitable companies out there.

Surely this is reflected in rent / quality of tenants. Will an A+ and the dollars required to get the peice of paper really make you feel better?

Must say my BNZ banking guy got a bit defensive when I asked if we were close to 4.95% @ 3 years yet, was quite funny.
