Which means what? You've gone back on your word right? Changed your mind and broken a verbal and partly written contract right?
-
Well depends if you're a man/woman of your word. Or a liar?
-
Righto, I stand corrected.
I guess though all the bailouts, collapses etc. were on a much smaller scale than Ireland's were. There's was around $150 billion.
But yeah if house prices went...
-
Hmm, those are higher costs...
Not sure about whether you can follow up with him... Can you get bailiffs around to seize goods?
-
I think you've largely answered your own question with this.
Here in NZ, the banks are in very very good shape, they've made more money through the GFC than the years preceding it. So they have...
-
Yeah the thing is though, people have been writing articles exactly like this for the past 8 years. This could go on for another 20 before it all falls over...
-
Ok thanks very much for the comments guys. I understand it now.
In the past, I've just let tenants walk but in this case: 1) I spent a lot of money fitting the place out for him, like over $20k...
-
Ok, right, so how do you know this was a better way of proceeding than going to auction?
Might you have gotten it cheaper at auction?

Hi guys and gals, I have a commercial tenant who has just left my premises and essentially said he's got no money, no assets bar the clothes he's wearing and so he can't pay any more rent...

Yeah I think we both did building work in THE most difficult period to build in NZ ever.
I think it may get easier soon. I think the government will force councils to to ease things up so that...

I think that lady was a bit beside herself, what I mean is, she looked tired, stressed etc. Obviously has a young baby to look after.
So I think perhaps some of her decision making is probably a...

So you bought the property?
-
But how do you buy anything if you walk away from multi offer situations?
-
Yep well we're actually not much bigger than Fiji when it comes to China.
Seems clear to me they're buying an awful lot of property here just now.
-
Yep. It's all multi offers and auctions etc. just now in Auckland. You have to live with it or move on.
-
I agree with the above comments, nothign worse than dealing with a vendor who either doesn't care if he sells or is way over the top price-wise, or even worse, both.
Years ago when I was an agent,...

Lol, I've seen the Volt 39 sqm 2 beddies with a wee kitchen/lounge area as well. Very hard to see how you could make them any smaller.
I have no intention of building any of these, they'd be...
-
Well I agree with all of those 3 coments!
@kane656: There are many properties I have not even bothered to look at because they're up for auction. You have to spend so much time looking at a...
-
So you're defending auctions? I did notice that a lot of the comments on that article were by people saying they like them.
I'm interested to know what people think.

Mate, you'd probably have to ask a planner. Trying to deduce that from reading the unitary plan would be pretty tricky. They have duty planners you can speak to in person or on the phone for free.

Whereabouts is the the property? I thought most properties connected into the stormwater network. Is this not the case where you are?

GreenClaws, our spelling and grammatically challenged friend...
Mate, if you want to sell stuff to people via the written word you need to enhance your writing skills a lot. Excuse me for being...

Shalodge, yep the government just want to take over. And who could blame them? Those bumbling idiots that form CCC have had their time. Time to clear the floor and bring in new people.
And who...
