  • tea party scoring starting to seriously hurt republicans

Brat had been a thorn in Cantor's side throughout the campaign, casting the congressman as a Washington insider who isn't conservative enough. Last month, a feisty crowd of Brat supporters booed Cantor in front of his family at a local party convention.

"If I had my way, I wish everybody in Congress and the Senate would be gone and we would start fresh," said Brat voter Henry Moriconi, 70, of Henrico County, who expressed frustration that Congress has been unable to confront issues such as the federal deficit.

tea party scoring starting to seriously hurt republicans
In the meantime, schoolchildren continue to be slaughtered while the senate continues to block even The President's minor reforms on gun control.

That really is one messed up country.

i know a lovely, gentle, american art teacher?

completely untechnical, struggles to change the battery in her smoke alarm, but what a wonderful souffle

she's horrified that some in the tea party think teachers should be armed in class

as she would be far more likely to shoot herself or a student by accident

than an armed intruder on purpose

      ...

South Carolina State Senator Lee Bright believes that in defense of America’s school children, teachers should be armed to the teeth.

Appearing on Fox News Radio, Bright joined commentator Alan Colmes for the latest round of brainstorming regarding how to get more guns into schools.

During the discussion, Bright suggested that not only should teachers be armed, but they should carry machine guns.

The video of this Texan Restaurant 'Open Carry' stunt is at the end of the article.

The Shockingly Stupid Video that Pro-Gun Group Open ...

        May 27, 2014 |

At first, Open Carry Texas, a group of brazen, assault-rifle-carrying gun nuts, thought it would be fun to videotape their experiences walking into restaurants like Chili's and Sonic in San Antonio fully armed, and then posting the encounters on youtube.
They intended to stage a number of these demonstrations at area restaurants.

Yep, in NZ my politics is right of centre. But with the US, it's left of centre.

The whole right wing movement in the states are gun nuts, creationists and Fox News watchers. In other words, batshit crazy.

            it's always been kinda screwy

At the time there was a lot of antagonism between audience members and police. Guns were frequently found on members of the audience and live ammunition was occasionally found on stage, he recalls. It set him on edge.

"On one particular occasion I remember feeling a blow to my chest. I was singing on stage and suddenly I felt something hit my chest. I looked down and there was blood everywhere, seeping through my shirt. I could see blood on my skin, coming through the shirt.

I thought ‘this is what it feels like to be shot'. I couldn't feel any pain but I thought that was just the adrenaline kicking in."

He carried on singing. He recalls thinking that the pain would start and: "I will fall down and I will die."

But then he realised that he still wasn't feeling any pain.

"I thought ‘I've been shot but I can't feel anything'.

"I noticed, down inside my shirt, what seemed to be a little piece of string.

I reached down and pulled out a used tampon which had been hurled at me in some act of devout, loving attention by some girl in the audience."

Gee Davo, I don't know where you got that idea from.

Tea Party candidate appears to endorse stoning gays

When asked by another Facebook user whether he supported executing homosexuals by stoning, Mr Esk replied: "That goes against some parts of libertarianism, I realise, and I'm largely libertarian, but ignoring as a nation things that are worthy of death is very remiss."

Stoning gay people, Mr Esk said in a phone interview, was "done in the Old Testament under a law that came directly from God" he said, adding: "And in that time there it was totally just.

              It came directly from God.

"I have no plans to reinstitute that in Oklahoma law.
I do have some very huge moral misgivings about those kinds of sins."
